with focus on – Crew & Dispatch Resource Management
It is widely known that proper and efficient communication as well as the proper use of all available resources help in the successful resolution of potentially dangerous situations. In aviation, it is critical. So much that accidents have been the result of poor or improper use of crew resource management and dispatch resource management.
Human factors, aviation psychology, proper communications, self-understanding, study of various aviation incidents and accidents, mental organization and how to deal with stressful situations will be studied.
Once a basic understanding of all the factors is reached, case studies and open discussions will be the focus of the course in order to collectively come up with a proper solution to specific situations. In addition, a documentary made by one of the top Southwest Airlines Aircraft Dispatchers will serve as another learning tool.
A certificate of completion will be awarded to students after successfully passing all required training.
